1. Our position

TorrentCheap respects the intellectual-property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. We respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the requirements below, and we terminate the accounts of repeat infringers where appropriate.

2. Reporting alleged infringement

If you own a copyright (or are authorised to act for the owner) and believe material on the service infringes it, email a written notice to [email protected] with the subject line “Copyright Takedown Notice”. To be valid, your notice should include all of the following:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the owner or authorised agent.
  2. Identification of the work you claim has been infringed.
  3. Identification of the material and enough detail to locate it (e.g. the URL).
  4. Your contact information - name, address, phone, email.
  5. A statement of your good-faith belief that the use is not authorised.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are authorised to act.

3. What we do with a valid notice

On receiving a valid notice we act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the material, and we may notify the user who added it. We keep a record of notices for legal and repeat-infringer purposes.

4. Counter-notification

If you believe your material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to [email protected] with the required statements (signature, identification, a good-faith statement under penalty of perjury, and your contact details).

5. Repeat infringers

We may, in appropriate circumstances and at our discretion, limit, suspend, or terminate the accounts of users who are the subject of repeated valid infringement notices.

6. Misrepresentation

Knowingly making a material misrepresentation in a takedown notice or counter-notice may expose you to liability for damages. Submit notices in good faith and only for content you are genuinely authorised to act on. Questions: [email protected].
